Basketball Player Art Williams 1972-73 TCG Basketball Card

An exciting basketball player at California Poly, Art Williams was not drafted by the NBA. He signed with the newly formed expansion team, San Diego Rockets, as a free agent in 1967-68 at age 28. For the Rockets the quick moving ball-handler set an unbroken record with 524 assists, 6.6 average per game in 1968-69. Nicknamed 'Hambone' Williams.

Starting in 1971-72 while playing off the bench for the Boston Celtics Art Williams' passing and dribbling helped the Celtics reach the playoffs 3 straight seasons.
