1970 TOPPS BASKETBALL CARD
A star at the center position for the Florida University basketball team, Neal Walk had a fantastic junior year, 1967-1968. He led the country with 19.8 rebounds per game and was the only major college player to finish in the top ten in scoring and in rebounding. Against LSU he scored a college career-high 39 points and had a career-high 31 rebounds. Neal Walk was chosen unanimously during his junior and senior years as All-Southeast Conference.
A rugged but quick performer under-and-near the backboards Neal Walk joined the NBA with the Phoenix Suns in 1969-70 and had five very solid seasons, including career-bests 20.9 points per game and 12.4 rebounds per game in 1972-73. |
