Born in Istanbul Turkey, the 6 ft 8 inches, 220 pound Hidayet Turkoglu signed as a free agent with the Sacramento Kings in 2000. He had three solid seasons with the Kings, including his 2nd when he posted numbers of – 810 points, 290 field goals made in 687 attempts, a 10.1 average, made 63 3-PM in 171 attempts, .368 pct, collected 368 rebounds, 4.5 rpg in 80 games, 10 starts.
Played 2003-04 with the San Diego Chargers and scored 9.2 ppg. In 2004-05 with the Orlando Magic scored 13.9 ppg.
For the Magic in 2006-07, Hidayet Turkoglu scored a career-high 37 points on April 4 2007 in a losing effort to the Toronto Raptors. He hit on 12-of-22 field goals and canned 7-of-7 free throws. |
