Bob Elliot was a rebounding star for the Arizona basketball team and was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the 1977 NBA draft and then immediately traded to the New Jersey Nets.
The muscular 6 ft 9, 225 pound center averaged 8.8 points per game in 14 games as a rookie, then 5.7 ppg in 54 games the next season, 1979-80.
Bob Elliot had a solid 1980-81 season, his last in the NBA. He made 214 field goals in 419 attempts, 121 free throws in 202 attempts, and hulled in 261 rebounds, total points scored 550 in 73 games. Basketball History |
